A charitable Foundation has been set up to honor Lyndsey's caring and giving nature. It is a Foundation that provides scholarships and donations to children's charities and/or other charitable causes that were important to Lyndsey.
If you wish to make a donation to the Foundation, checks should be made payable to The Lyndsey Whittingham Foundation. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Donations will be accepted at First United Bank, 7626 W. Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, IL. 60423, (815) 469-8555.
We cannot thank you enough for your help in keeping Lyndsey's spirit alive through the following accomplishments:
- Along with a donation to Children's Memorial Hospital, a $100,000 commitment by the Foundation has also been pledged to the hospital to support the Lyndsey Whittingham Memorial Fund and neurocritical care program. Click here to read the article in "Heroes," the magazine of Children's Memorial.
- A beautiful plaque in tribute to Lyndsey hangs at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for our donations.
- A Frankfort School District 157-C annual "Spirit" scholarship has been established and is awarded at each annual graduation ceremony. Two students have received the award to date and one will be presented at graduation May 26, 2010.
- Funding has been provided to the District 157-C Education Foundation for a Sensory System Room to enhance education for the children of Chelsea Intermediate School.
